The Holiday Love Meme is running. Give a little love, and put up your own thread so you can get some love in return.

Also, I have a stocking up at [livejournal.com profile] fandom_stocking.

Sending out Christmas presents is delayed until next week, on the basis of "omg, there are too many people out there and they are all crazy!"

Because my relatives always find these rather helpful.

Got my [livejournal.com profile] yuletide fic written and posted a couple of hours before the drop-deadline. That's good.

Any packages that I'm going to mail before Christmas have been mailed. That leaves about three of you that are getting post-Christmas gifts, sorry to say.

Two parcels are in the post right now, sent off into the vortex of mail transportation. Hopefully they will arrive next week. They're not Christmas presents, however. These are actually some belated Halloween presents.

You know me and 'mailing things at a reasonable time'... >_>

But! I shall be striving to get Christmas posts out as soon as possible this season. Thus, I have a parcel to mail on Monday, assuming I get the box together tomorrow and get the shirt cleaned.

Puck, you can totally isopod me if it's not mailed by Tuesday.

Charles, your present will probably arrive late for Christmas, unfortunately. But it shall hopefully arrive as soon as possible after that.

Ravyn, Luna, I'm going to hold y'all's presents until Ohayocon.
Well, it's the time of year where I cut off completely with this whole 'shopping for myself' thing. Since I know how it is with some of my relatives to Christmas-shop for me, here's a Christmas wishlist:

To spare those who just don't give a damn )

As a reminder to the people who can see this post, if you don't answer, you're at the mercy of my taste.

Armed with a fresh roll of packing tape and a box from the Post Office, I gleefully stuffed Titanium Jetfire into his prison and cushioned him with crumpled-up newspapers. My taping job was about my usual for non-gift-wrapped boxes (i.e. it looks like someone should take the tape away from me before I hurt myself).

So imprisoned, Jetfire was then toted off to the Post Office and sent on a not incredibly long journey across three states. With luck, he will arrive at his destination before Christmas.

Now, I just have to get to work on buying all of my Christmas gifts for people. Oh, Puck, yours is in the mail already, so it will arrive when it arrives. And it won't have my return address on it. (Do you even know my return address?)

Relatives are so much harder to shop for than my friends. I am strongly considering breaking my principles and just buying them gift cards. *sighs*

Make a post (public, friendslocked, filtered...whatever you're comfortable with) to your LJ. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fun ("I'd love a Snape/Hermione icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV.") The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.

- If you wish for real possible things, make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you.

- Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your LJ, or link to this post (it'll be public) so that the holiday joy will spread.

Step Two

- Surf around your friendslist (or friendsfriends, or just random journals) to see who has posted their list. And now here's the important part:

- If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use--or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free--do it.

You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf--to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call.

There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just...wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.

1. A year subscription to the Matrix Online, or even just a couple of months of playing time.
2. Kill Bill, volumes one and two. DVD, widescreen, director's cut preferable.
3. Transformers: Cybertron Primus figure
4. The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe. DVD, widescreen, director's cut preferable.
5. Books! Inkspell and Inkheart by Cornelia Funke, and I will undoubtedly think of more as I assault the bookstores over Christmas. Good non-fiction about Victorian London or Paris would also be nice, as would just about anything about harems. 'Daily Life in...' books are also much sought after.
6. A good Silverbolt/Slingshot fic. Smut, non-smut, fluff, brotherly interaction instead of slash, whatever. Just am so in the mood for really good Aerialbot fics, and I can't find any!
7. Puck, Ryuu, and Charles.
8. Trans-Siberian Orchestra cds, besides The Lost Christmas.
9. Micheal Longcor cds, besides Field of Fire and Boarding Party.
10. A pedicure.

Bonus. Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest. DVD, widescreen, director's cut preferable.
Extra Bonus. My Amazon Wishlist.

Everyone except Ryuu's Christmas gifts have arrived in the mail and are just awaiting me to get off my lazy butt and send them back out. At the rate this is going, you probably won't see your presents until Epiphany. Unless you're CRB, then God knows when you'll see your gift.

Anyways, I shall track down the remaining ones of you and squeeze your addresses out so I can mail these things all in one batch. I hate going out this time of year, so I don't want to have to do so more than necessary.
