Our lawn hasn't been mowed in at least a month. It being summer in the South, that means it's more than ankle-deep now. So my Dad headed out back to mow the lawn. What should he find resting in the shady grass underneath our backyard oak?

A pair of mallards, male and female. There's at least four duck-shaped impressions in the grass, so they aren't the only ducks that have been resting back there. They scuttled off when he started pulling weeds near them, but are still in the backyard last I checked. Cute fellas.
