Katara leaned against the doorframe, watching Zuko stand there with a small picture in his hands. His eyes were closed, and the smile had faded to a ghost of itself. He looked... almost sane.

Then his eyes opened and he caught sight of her. He tilted his head to look at her, the gesture all wrong; a real person would have turned his head.

He opened his mouth as if to speak, but Katara cut him off.

"You might have everyone else here buying your 'transformation'. But you and I both know you'll bare your throat for anyone who 'loves' you." That moment in the crystal caverns below Ba Sing Se, when he touched her, when he-

She stalked forward. "So let me tell you something right now. You listen to the wrong person's love, one slip-up, give me one reason to think you might hurt Aang... and you won't have to worry about your destiny anymore. Because I'll make sure your destiny ends right then and there."

She was so close to Zuko, she could feel his body-heat. He looked down at her, his smile gone all strange.

"You don't love me anymore, do you, Katara?" He said softly, one hand daring to touch her hip.

She slapped it away. "No, I don't."
