Mai

Mai wears black silk under the linen dress. Silk tangles arrows and blades, silk is lovely when woven with subtle navy blue patterns. Anyone close enough to see such patterns must be very close indeed.

"Grey doesn't suit you," Ty Lee chirps, plucking at the long V of the dress's neck. "I like the plunge, but it'd be prettier in red. Incarnadine."

Her flingers flicker down to the black buttons on the skirt and toy with them. "Incarnadine," she repeats, "and tiger-eye buttons. That'd be so pretty, Mai."

"I like this," Mai says quietly as Ty Lee's clever fingers undo a button.
