17. Titles – Are they the bane of your existence, or the easiest part of the fic? Also, if you do chaptered fic, do you give each chapter a title, or not?
Most of the time, they're the bane of my existence. Up until I actually had to post it, "Ember, Ash, and Kindling" was just 'the Maiko Big Bang'. A lot of the time, titles are even harder for me than summaries. Since I'll cover the same themes in multiple fandoms, I have to come up with different-ish enough titles that still fit the story... Which is why I have a Thor fic called "Foundling" about Laufey realizing how Odin came to have Loki, and I have a TF: Animated fic called "Found Child" about Emirate Xaaron finding an Allspark child.
Given how rarely I write chaptered stories and how difficult titles are for me, chapters do not get separate titles.
