Advent #22: Lost City of the Fifth Race

Title: Lost City of the Fifth Race
Fandom: G1 Transformers
Characters: Skyfire, Starscream
Classification: Gen
Rating: G

---

"What are you building?" Skyfire leaned over his partner, watching Starscream yank wires out of the hoard of electronics, his fingers flashing furiously as he built... something. Skyfire had a vague idea that whatever Starscream was building, it just might be a weapon. Then again, it could be a farming implement.

The most-used farming implements, Skyfire had noticed in his journeys, were ones that could also be used as weapons.

"I don't know!" Starscream snapped as he stripped the covering from the length of wiring and wove it into his device.

"Well then, why are you building it?" Skyfire asked in a mild voice.

"I don't know!"

The 'know' came out shrilly, and Skyfire carefully placed one hand in the middle of Starscream's back. Starscream's hands stopped flashing about, and the smaller white jet just knelt there and trembled.

"There's so much information in my head, Skyfire," he said at last. His hands shook as he reached for a circuitboard. "I know everything, and it's so much gibberish, because there's too much of it! But I need to build this. I know I do, like I know that up is up and stars are hot."

"Starscream... The diagnostic said your processors were starting to overheat, and it's been several hours since we checked that. Your language is starting to slip from Cybertronian to... something else. We need to get this information out of your head and into a mass-storage device." Skyfire reached around and carefully took Starscream's hands, his thumb rubbing against the back of one.

The device began to beep, and Starscream yanked away from him and dove into adding more parts to it.

With a sigh, Skyfire stepped back. "Is it supposed to be beeping like that?"

"I don't know!"

End

And the best part? I doubt he learned his lesson. *gryn* Those two are so damned cute together.

*still waving the corrupt Perceptor banner shamelessly*

H.O.U.N.D. in the shower. No, I don't care how.

And I wouldn't mind seeing how this turns out.

And then Starscream birthed the first Mini-Con! ;) A Christmas miracle.

Suggestion: Creepy scary stuff that might not be bad.

Interesting. I like it!

Choose one: Ninjas, Pirates, Angels, Dragons, or Cops.

Heh. You know, I've frequently suggested A-Starscream and Jack O'Neill as an interesting duo, but never thought of G1-Starscream as Jack O'Neill before.

Plot bunny me and the WWII nut came up with in the car this morning: What if something like the bacteria that eats JP-4 adapted to eating Energon? You'd have an Earth germ that bred in untreated Energon and gunked it up with rafts of bacteria colonies, choking fuel lines and filters, etc.

(( The real world solution was to add an anti-bacterial agent to JP-4 (kerosene), but we had to learn the hard way to do that first. ))

...curse you. Stop making me feel sorry for Starscream.

*...hugs anyway*
