Need a Distraction
Comment with a sentence from one of my fanfictions. Without looking, I have to try and guess which fic of mine the sentence is from. If I fail, the challenger wins a drabble request. Post this in your own journal and let me challenge you!

Feel free to keep trying to stump me!

The Stunticons didn't go away like a bad dream should.

Nope. Not a clue.

Bluestreak's door-wings quivered, and he double-cycled air through his cooling systems. The Stunticons didn't go away like a bad dream should. They hung there, queer purple optics on him. Staring. Just staring, and Wildrider smiling.
As for request, um *flail* I totally didn't expect to stump you, I'm going to have to think about it?

Sure, go ahead and think. *grins*

Have Ani Motormaster's Captain Instead
"He'd lost both arms and most of his torso by the time we caught up to him," Vortex pointed out helpfully.
"'e managed to stay alive long enough for us ta catch up. Not many mechs can say that."
The ninja shrugged, well aware his squad-captain couldn't actually see the motion even though he perched right in front of Cannonball. At his level of abilities, hiding in shadows or high places was pitifully easy. Advances in skill only came from the constant practice of making himself stealthy in bright lights and empty rooms, places where people _expected_ to see him.
"Makes you cry just thinkin' about what Autobot training would have done with 'im." Cannonball shook his head and poured some more energon down his throat. "They'da put 'im on an officer-track before they'd even worked out all the emotional problems tucked away in 'is head. An' would any of 'em have had the guts to cut 'im down when he was berserking? Any of 'em be willing to pound 'is head into a wall when he's having a go at tearing apart someone on 'is own side?"
"Exhume still thinks you're loonier than a Cheshiran for doing that." Vortex chuckled. "You sure yelled when he ripped your arm off. And, ooh, the pyrotechnics!"
Cannonball swatted at him irritibly, and Vortex graciously allowed his commander's strike to connect.
"Yeah, she can think that all she wants, but I stopped 'im, and I'm the one who tamed 'im into being a soldier instead of a monster. Autobots would've just let 'im go on 'is merry way, give 'im command of some other mechs, let 'im tear 'em apart or worse before bringing the hammer down and throwing 'im into the brig on Tantalus-Five. You ever been ta Tantalus-Five?"
"Yeah. I like to visit Blast Off sometimes." Vortex dipped his fingertips into Cannonball's cube, unlatched his mask enough to suck the droplets off. "He's doing good! Misses his spaceship. Doesn't miss me or Swindle. Sometimes the guards let him and Onslaught play full-stasis, but only once every several thousand deca-cycles. Guess they keep Onslaught cubed otherwise. Think he's too dangerous. They're so, so, so right!"
"You're the chattiest damn ninja I've ever had the misfortune ta meet." His squad-captain scooted his energon cube closer, resting his spread hand loosely over the top. "Last time I had port in the Tantalus system, there weren't any visitin' hours."
Vortex chuckled. "I, ex-Admiral Cannonball, am a master of Circuit-Su, martial arts cyber-ramen delivery, Metallikato, martial arts energon ceremony, Diffusion, martial arts ice-skating, and Shadow-walking. Measly little prison security isn't going to keep me out."
"You're a bleedin' lunatic."
"I get that a lot."
Cannonball backfired his engine in derision, then drained his energon cube. "Not surprised. Welp, time to relieve Exhume from her post before she kills anyone."
