Need a Distraction

"He's not going to answer," Astrotrain said for the twelfth time. The shuttle triple-changer sat on the edge of a berth, arms crossed. Blast-marks darkened his grey wings and torso, and a heavy mode-lock stuck out from one leg.

Blitzwing ignored him and continued trying to raise Octane on the radio. "Not like he's going to fly off without us."

The tank triple-changer was missing his barrel, and a mode-lock jutted out from his turret. From the looks of things, the tank-barrel had been carefully decoupled and removed, rather than sawn or blasted off. Blast-marks almost completely blackened him, and one side of his optic-band was cracked.

"No," said Astrotrain, "Octane will just wait until he's completed all of his business and leisure before bailing us out. Because he's apparently the only person in the Empire who won't go along with your stupid ideas."

Blitzwing twisted around to grin at his partner. "Hey, it was fun, wasn't it?"

"For the next week," Astrotrain said coldly, "We will be stuck in the same cell together, while Octane enjoys Monacus. Shut. Up."
