Come, My Minions, Rise for Your Master

Incessantly listening to "In the Dark of the Night" from Disney's Anastasia soundtrack has convinced me of several things. One, I need to get some Disney soundtracks, since I tend to love their musicals. Two, Morninglord should not, under any circumstance, be allowed to do a songfic with this song.

... bnut wasn't Anastasia non-disney? 0_O

It's an animated movie with people sometimes randomly bursting into song. It's not computer-generated. My brain dubs all such things "Disney", whether or not that's actually correct. *grins*

IMDb reveals that it was actually Fox that made it, not Disney.

hee,t hat is what I thought - cause I remember going "omg a movie with all those atributes and not disney?`" when it came out :D

Anastasia largely sucked, but "In the Dark of the Night" is a damn good musical number. Possibly the only musical number featuring creepy-crawlies outside of "Ferngully".

OH, just remembered "The Ugly Bug Ball" from some live action Disney thing with Burl Ives.

I am too old and pathetic.

Oooh, "Ferngully". That was Tim Curry singing for our evil pollution, wasn't it? *checks IMDb* It was!

*purrs*

I need to go bug GG now.

Pssst...Warner Brothers, not Disney. (grins)

And I guess I can burn you some stuff. What Disney soundtracks do you want? I'll see if I have them.

Aladdin and Beauty and the Beast immediately spring to mind. *snuggles*

We use to have to skip In the Dark of the NIght when daughter was little because Rasputin scared her. And we skipped the Ship storm scene for the same reason. We still sing At the Beginning whenever we hear it on the muzak or the radio.
