More Yuletide-ness
Also, you can totally blame
apathocles for me signing up for this. (And yes, I will be doing my Advent Calendar this year. Yay, crazy Becca.)
Dear Yuletide Santa,
I signed up for four different fandoms that I don't actually talk about a lot on this journal. I decided that instead of Transformers, which I can sate myself on pretty easily, I would go for the strange and odd little things that I would probably never get a chance to have otherwise.
I left most of my optional fields blank, so if you're looking for a little more guidance on what would make me happy, here it goes.
Scott Lynch - The Gentlemen Bastard Series: Jean Tannen/Locke Lamora
It's seemed to me while reading The Lies of Locke Lamora and what of Red Seas Under Red Skies that I've read that Jean isn't particularly interested in women. Locke has his pretty redhead that we never see on-stage even in flashbacks, Calo and Galdo definitely came across as interested in women, and Bug was a bit young but also interested in them.
Jean, on the other hand, never seems to be interested at all. He is, however, very, very close to Locke.
I figure, after the events of The Lies of Locke Lamora, Locke and Jean are even closer than before. As we've got two years in their game against the Sinspire that we don't see most of the details of, there's plenty of room for an assignation. It may not work out, it may, but I don't expect it to be an easy thing to get into.
Robert Jordan - The Wheel of Time: Matrim Cauthon/Perrin Aybarra/Rand al'Thor
I would prefer if this could be worked into the canon timeline somehow without breaking anything. However, it's been a while since I've reread the entire cycle myself so I'm certainly not going to ask my Santa to do so.
I'd prefer a threesome, specifically. Hopefully without too much of Rand being all "I cannot allow myself to care about people, because then everyone who is out to get me will try to get them to use against me!". Because that's really annoying, and it's always made me want to hit Rand upside the head.
Excalibur (1988 comic): Kitty Pryde AKA Shadowcat/Kurt Wagner AKA Nightcrawler
I would prefer this to take place early in the run, say shortly before or during the Cross-Time Caper. I could go for anything after that, as long as not too many allusions to the canon events after where Excalibur gives the X-Men a call to bitch them out over what they did in Dallas. Unfortunately, my comic collection grows rather spotty after that point.
Other than that, I am happy with either a friendship fic or a romance. I would prefer a romance, but friendship between the two of them is also fun. (Especially if there's unresolved sexual tension. I'm a sucker for good unresolved sexual tension.) Maybe something specifically Christmassy, because these guys actually exist on a modern Earth.
Girl Genius: Agatha Heterodyne/Dimo
I know the main pairing of Girl Genius is intended to be Agatha/Gilgamesh Wulfenbach. I've got no problems with this, but there's something about Agatha/Dimo that pegs on some of my odd little kinks.
I would not like this to be something that stops Agatha/Gil from happening. I am happy with either a one-night stand, a not-for-all-time relationship, or even it as a secondary relationship to Agatha/Gil. Heck, using it as a problem for the Agatha/Gil relationship could be quite interesting.
Well, that's my extended thoughts on my requests. Hope it was helpful to you!
Sincerely,
Rebecca Hb.
