Rush: Snakes and Arrows

I have been rocked into Mordor.

Wonderful concert. Very loud. Ears muted in self-defense. Drums and bass took over heartbeat for a while. Had to keep checking that the vibrations shaking my body were not unduly affecting my heart.

Very fun. Very awesome. Not likely to do it again any time soon. Have problems with not being able to understand lyrics even on songs I know well, and that is not enjoyable to me.

"I have been rocked into Mordor."

I told you!

(Mordor must be much nicer in these post-Sauron days if everyone keeps going to it for rock purposes...)

Rush! Probably my favorite band of all time due to the fact that I LOVED them when I was a little girl. Just bought a CD I used to have on cassette long ago.

If you can get to it, I totally recommend seeing them on this tour. So. Very. Awesome.

And Rush made a major impression on me musically. I still consider one of their song-titles to be an integral part of identifying me online.

I'd actually suggest wearing sound-suppressing earplugs to concerts. I find that I can understand the music better, not worse, and my ears hurt less afterwards.

I should have done that, but I spent most of the weekend in a state of sleep deprivation and annoyance at my job. Will remember that for next time, though.
