"Sari, No One's Home"

When the episode opened with "looks like the Constructicons are up to their old tricks again", I was wondering how building things could be malicious. Did they build Architecture in the middle of a bridge? Tear up the roads in preparation of a road improvement project that might never end? Demolish some of those fugly steel Payless stores?

No, says the show, they are stealing motor oil and being alcoholics.

... That's different, though I suppose yes, it does qualify as "old tricks" for Mix and Scrapper.

ALCOHOLIC VAGRANTS!

Yes, show, yes, I get it. Ohai, is that Prime being a dick to Sari again? Despite her key being incredibly useful for, oh, finding people who've got Allspark energy all over them like the various robots brought to life by Allspark slivers?

Why, yes, Prime is!

Sure, gotta protect the little girl from the two-story robots. But, you know, given the genre, she's never in any serious danger from the Transformers. Ever. So it's hard for me to believe that Optimus was doing the right thing here, even when he was.

Blah, blah, blah, Sari is a bad girl, Bumblebee is leaking like a sieve, Constructicons follow his leaked oil back to Autobase...

Yes, nice freak-out there, Sari-girl. Hey, did you even listen to what they were saying and notice that they were still amnesiac? No, accusing them of still being Decepticons shows you didn't. Suck.

Oh, look, Megatron has dispatched Blitzwing to win the Constructicons over with oil! Hm, I wonder how that's going to go. Little girl who yells at them and attacks them vs. big jet guy who hands them some oil and goes 'come hang with me and my boss back at our place'.

Fortunately, Blitzwing is distracted by spanking all five Autobots at once. Bitchin'.

Meanwhile, the Constructicons and Sari are reprising a movie I liked much better when it was a small boy vs. two house-robbers. The boy was much better at setting clever traps.

At the end of the episode, the Constructicons are terrified of Autobase and Sari, still amnesiac, and walk right into Blitzwing's waiting arms. Also, Scrapper has more characterization. Also, also, the only reason the Autobots didn't lose someone is because Megatron ordered Blitzwing to stop dorking around and get back to his mission.

Meanwhile, the Autobots... Got beat on by Blitzwing.

You suck today, Autobots. SUCK.

Episode was kinda weak, yeah, but it provided a most hilarious moment for me, when Bulkhead has his "I told you so!" moment. XD

Oh, I found Blitzwing taking on all the Autobots at once to be well worth the price of admission. ;-)

My fave bit of that was Sari's cocky "don't you have an outhouse to build or something?" getting a casual reply of "Yeah". Love it.

Yeah, this one was a placefiller. Wasn't terribly impressed with much of it, to be honest. It was okay, just nothing spectacular.

As mentioned above, Blitzwing taking on all the Autobots at once was worth the price of admission. I'm also glad we got some more Constructicon characterization, particularly of Scrapper. (Looks to me like Scrapper is the smarter of the two, but he gets/lets himself be overwhelmed by Mixmaster.)

Blitzwing would have *pwned* the Autobots if not for Megatron *pwning* him to get back to the task he was sent for. If Blitzwing can single-handedly hold his own against the Autobots, why can't Megatron with a few more Decepticons simply pulverize them?

It was all worth it for me, the devoted Blitzwing-fan, to see my favorite three-face in action!

Megatron could. This is why the Decepticons don't actively fight the Autobots very often in the show. Besides that Megatron doesn't really find the local Autobots to be threatening to his grand plans in any way.

The moral of the story is that if someone asks for a drink, if you then unleash hilarious pain and chaos on them you will directly cause them creating Space Bridges that will _result in the Decepticons becoming a pan-galactic threat greater than ever before_.

Thanks a fucking lot, Sari.

I hope Megatron personally thanks Sari for encouraging the Constructicons to join him.

The burn would be epic.

Oh Primus. That MUST occur.
