Title: Stolen

Yue is a war-bride, and she wears reds that bleed to purple because she was a princess of the Water Tribe once. But she was a girl then, and she is a woman now. She has a household to run and a child to raise, a son who has her sweetness when he is happy and his father's temper when he is angry and Tui's changing nature.
Her husband has returned from the sea for the last time. The last battle with the Earth Kingdom broke his arm, and he is not so young as he once was. It's healing well; she will see it heal well, but Admiral Zhao has earned an honorable retirement. He has won much for the Fire Nation. He deserves to rest on his laurels, to enjoy the beautiful young wife he won for himself.
When he kisses her, she almost thinks it's a pity that she had to be stolen. If it weren't for the War...
Perhaps she would have gone willingly.
