He turned the box wrapped in shiny paper over curiously, passing it between his six hands. The paper amused him with the way it changed colors and glitter-patterns as the light hitting it shifted. Its slight reflectivity also pleased him, since it allowed him to alter the patterns on the paper even more. "I love it."
Rumble shuffled uncomfortably. "Uh, you're supposed to open it."
Reflector turned the box over and over. "That would damage the paper."
"It's just there to hide what's inside, ya know."
"I like the paper."
"Yeah, but... There's something inside the box that's more important." Rumble glanced uneasily over his shoulder to where Frenzy was standing by the door. The two cassettes had shown up earlier with the box, saying it was a gift from their boss. Reflector rather doubted that it was any such thing, and the urging to open it disinclined him to do so.
Still, it was very pretty paper.
"It should be refractive, too," Reflector murmurred as he passed the box between himself.
"That'd kinda defeat the purpose."
Reflector nodded absently. He shouldn't keep the box, either. Soundwave had probably anticipated that he wouldn't open it, so the trap lay in the unopened box itself. The paper was simply a distraction.
A very good distraction. He held it up to the light. "You two are finished here."
Rumble glanced over his shoulder at Frenzy, who shrugged. "You didn't open it."
"No."
"... You're supposed to open it."
"You're not very good at this spy thing, are you?"
"Hey!"
Reflector looked at the cassettes cooly, raising two handheld cannons in four of his hands. "As I said, you two are done here."
The cassettes hurried away, leaving Reflector to play with his new box in peace.

That reminds me of my mom... she hates to mess up pretty wrapping paper too. (even though she's hardly the type to be suspicous of what's inside) ;p
