I love doing these sentence projects. They're something to noodle on when my brain isn't working enough for longer bits, and it's quite a challenge to say all that I want to say in a sentence. (Thus, I wind up abusing punctuation marks like a German sometimes.)

Did an exercise to kickstart my writing, gleefully stolen from the lovely

dark_puck. Made a list of Transformers, assigned each a number, rolled some virtual dice, and combined the pairs with the prompts.

01: Motion (Warpath and Blitzwing)

Tanks, no matter their size, had a distinctive way of moving in either form that Warpath thought was unmistakable. Then he met Blitzwing, who broke all of the rules.

02: Cool (Slag and Seaspray)

Getting into a fight with Seaspray cooled Slag down. But chasing a minibot into the Pacific had that effect on every mech.

Summary: On a seek-and-find mission from Megatron, Reflector and Steadfast stumble across something they shouldn't bring back.

Author's Notes: First of all, Steadfast belongs to

ravenclaw_devi and is used with permission. Secondly, this is a bit of a style-experiment for me. I'm sort of serializing this story.

I say 'sort of' because I'm basically going to write part of it whenever a

31_days prompt inspires me, but I've only got the vaguest idea of where I'm going. So there's a good chance this story may end with 'rocks fall, everyone dies'.
