Oh, [livejournal.com profile] springkink. Why have you failed me in the Bonecrusher/Hook/Long Haul threesome?

I wish I could find anything in the Springkink community that explained what it was or how it worked. There are posting guidelines, but they assume you already know what's going on.

... This is a very good point.

Okay, it's sort of a prompts-claim comm thing. We do a round or so every season. Two or three months before the posting period, the admin put up a post to collect prompts in.

Prompts are in the format of: Fandom, Characters - Kink (or whatever; I've put 'humanized TFs' as a kink) - Line/Inspiring Lyric/Kumquat - Day you want it to go up.

At the end of the prompt-acceptance period, the admin gather all the prompts and put them on a schedule by the day the fic/art would be posted. Then they give us a week to claim as many prompts as we like.

After that, there's about a month before the posting period in which to work on our pieces. We're supposed to post them on the date they're scheduled to go up (but sometimes we're late, which is annoying but there's no ill-effects for it).

My personal policy with late stuff is to try my absolute best to get them up before the posting month is done. Any ones that come in after that mean I claim less prompts the next time around.

Addendum: One is not allowed to select one's own prompts to write.
