It is time to balance my meme karma, since I've been abusing both

banditjoeykuba's awesomeness lately.

So I will be writing anything Avatar, Transformers: Deadzone, or Transformers: Animated in the comments. Including any AU I've babbled at you about. Or any AU you can think of. Or anything involving my OCs. (I will only write other people's OCs with their permission, so you'll have to get their permission first and have them communicate it to me.)

Restrictions:
- Three requests per person, unless I tell you you can ask for more
- If you ask for "So-and-so is awesome", I am putting my iPod on shuffle and writing to whatever song comes up first

Detroit was getting a little too exciting, what with the island of crazy dino-robots and the Autobots who liked to pop over from Cybertron. So Mix hauled Scrapper onto a boat, and they got outta there.

Mix didn't pay attention to little details like where the boat was going, so the ride went on a lot longer than he expected. Then they found themselves on a concrete pier in the brightest damn city Mix had ever seen. Hottest, too - heat waves rose from the ground everywhere he looked.

"Huh." Scrapper wasn't much of a conversationalist, but he summed up Mix's feelings about the place pretty good.

"Let's get back on the boat," Mix decided.

"Hey," Scrapper said suddenly, rising up on the ends of his feet. "You smell that?"

"... Smells like oil. A lot of oil."

They shared a grin and wandered off to investigate. Hey, this place at least beat Detroit. No one had tried to shoot at them yet.

It'd been two years, and the Autobots were gone like they never here. The city's a bit worse for wear, too, and Sumdac Systems didn't dominate the skyline like it used to. It didn't do a lot like it used to, and Nino Sexton couldn't say he was sorry about that.

He thought robots were cool when he was a kid, but the increasing mechanization of labor had left him high and dry without a job. Then came the Autobots.

About the only good thing that came out of the Autobots was Slo-Mo. Pretty, clever, and probably a little bit crazy, but that made her more interesting.

Besides, she'd done him a good turn or three. So he got arrested in the end again. So what? Been there, done that, got the t-shirt. Being in the penn was boring, not life-threatening.

Now he was back. Good ol' Detroit. Maybe he'd walk out this time a free man.

'Course, first he was going to find Slo-Mo.

He didn't think it'd be too hard. She was, well, she was distinctive. He didn't know her real name, but he knew her voice, and he knew how to use a computer. He'd find her.

And ask her out, because hey, she liked him, he liked her, they had complementary super-powers when they had their gadgets, and if that wasn't fate, he didn't know what was.

It'd been three months, and he hadn't seen or found anything about her. Nino's starting to think he isn't as good as he thought. Or maybe she didn't come back to Detroit at all after they let her out.

So he went jogging, because he always thought best in motion.

He ran around the park three times before he noticed the woman sitting on a bench, reading her way through a stack of comic books, three watches on her arms and a stop-watch around her neck. If he squinted, he could almost imagine a veil over her eyes.

He ran around the park one more time to cool down, then sat down next to her. "Hey. Nino Sexton."

She looked up, recognition sparked in her eyes and a smile curled her lips. "Samantha Lomow."

Awww! Nanosec's crush is adorable, and I like the inclusion of his robot views.

"Oh, of course," Starscream snapped. "You go on and on about your own competence at ruling, Shockwave, yet neglect to mention that you took over Cybertron when it was dead and Megatron was off-world!"

Shockwave very slowly turned his head towards Starscream. "I succeeded, Starscream. You never have."

Hook ignored them both, because they were clearly being idiots and this argument wouldn't actually get them out of the cell any faster.

"Did you really?" Starscream drew his wings up mockingly. "Because I seem to recall you've never had to go against Megatron. However, I have faced Megatron, defeated him-"

"You have remained second-in-command of the Decepticons until you arrived here without his presence," Shockwaved intoned. "You have never defeated Megatron."

Hook examined the energy bar projectors on the cell, then wandered over to do a cold reboot on Scourge. The big black truck would likely be useful here.

Starscream's voice moved up to shrieking. "I had all of Cybertron under my control and was about to send both Optimus and Megatron plunging into the sun!"

"Yet," Shockwave said levelly, "You did not."

Starscream's shriek of rage nearly cracked Hook's visor.

Hook spoke quietly to Scourge, describing what the black truck would need to do to break open the cell so they could escape. He twisted to glance at the arguing Shockwave and Starscream briefly, then drummed his fingers against his leg.

"If you're quiet," he remarked, "We could probably leave without them."

I love Shockwave's totally neutral snubbing. :D

(Go Scourge and Hook! Go for quiet!)

So spot on. But damned if Shox wouldn't be pissed at Hook if he left him.
