Ask Me To Write You Stuff!

It is time to balance my meme karma, since I've been abusing both [livejournal.com profile] suzukiblu and [livejournal.com profile] banditjoeykuba's awesomeness lately.

So I will be writing anything Avatar, Transformers: Deadzone, or Transformers: Animated in the comments. Including any AU I've babbled at you about. Or any AU you can think of. Or anything involving my OCs. (I will only write other people's OCs with their permission, so you'll have to get their permission first and have them communicate it to me.)

Restrictions:
- Three requests per person, unless I tell you you can ask for more
- If you ask for "So-and-so is awesome", I am putting my iPod on shuffle and writing to whatever song comes up first

Meme is closed.

All TFA (I hope these fit.)

1. Prowl & Optimus (the two are my favourite when together), "Ghostly Comfort"
2. Jazz & Sentinel - He simply tells him to shut up and accept that Optimus is now leader, and a much better one than him, too
3. Thundercracker & Skywarp - The two develop from SC's condensed ego or fear to distinct personalities which aren't like SC

It's been twenty-five stellar cycles, and Thundercracker has changed the greys on his chassis for whites. "To be less like that idiotic dead mech," he growls when Skywarp asks about it.

He's still a braggart, but he can back it up with guns and wings and flying like a demon. He's the best, or as best as it gets in this section of space, and he knows it. Not his fault if it torques people off that he's better than them.

Skywarp has gotten some spine in him, and the dark Seeker has a tendency to lurk unobstrusively. Thundercracker is all right with that - there's only room for one in the spotlight. Besides, sometimes Skywarp sees things that he doesn't. Sure, he's a paranoid and a touch prone to thinking the entire universe will kill him at a drop of rain.

There's really only so much a mech can do when he was designed to be afraid. He's stopped cringing in cowardice, though, and treats the entire universe with the same bland sense of 'I know you want to kill me, but I'm not going to let you.'

Thundercracker has gotten a handle on his own skills and gotten better with evaluating how other people compare to him. If he were honest, which he tries to be at least to himself, he would say Skywarp is the more dangerous of the two of them. Skywarp doesn't feel the need to show-off, and dead people are much less threatening than live ones.

Thundercracker, however, sees no reason to be honest to other people when he can just keep his mouth shut and direct their adoration and fear towards himself.

Besides, it's always good to have an ace up your sleeve.

Yeess. I loved these two to piece and I was pretty disappointed as they went MIA in the show after Blurr had escaped them. Thank you.

dead people are much less threatening than live ones.
I'm not sure about the meaning of this part - is it like as Skywarp stays more in the shadows he has the higher chances to survive than TC?

If he kills people, they are no longer as threatening. ;-)

Ani: Prowl and Optimus

Optimus should have died. He thinks that sometimes, when the Magnus hammer is heavy in his hands, when Megatron's smile gets so sharp, when every person speaking to him has a crisis that only he can fix.

Dying would have been easier than being Magnus.

He can't defrag a lot of the time. There's too many things that need to be done and too little time to do them all in. So he skimps, even though Ratchet tells him he's a fool for doing so.

He's Magnus. He has to keep going.

It gets harder, though, and Megatron's smile gets so sharp it cuts.

Forever and a day ago, Sentinel would have hauled him off to defrag and slapped him down whenever he tried to skimp. But Sentinel hates him now, not as bad as he hates Decepticons or organics, but still plenty bad enough.

On the ship, he would have set a good example for the crew. But they're gone now, mostly. Ratchet stays around but only just. Prowl is dead. Bumblebee and Bulkhead are taking on the universe.

Prowl is dead.

There are slashes on Optimus's hands, and he has no idea how they got there.

Being Magnus is killing him.

"Rest," someone says one night, hand on his shoulder, and the voice doesn't register with Optimus until the next morning.

Prowl is dead.

"You should rest too," he says to the empty office, feeling slightly foolish.

The bare edge of a chuckle drifts across him, but the next time he pushes himself too far, the voice is back telling him to rest.

Thank you, thank you! It has this haunting air which I have looked for in every fic concerning Prowl's death since then, and also because it has someone different than Jazz, Bumblebee or Sari mourning.

I love how Prowl's death haunts Optimus, pressing as much on him as the strain of being Magnus. And, which is only my interpretation, it sent shivers through me as I thought, maybe you began the fic that Optimus wishes to be dead to show he wants to be together with Prowl.

Ani: Jazz and Sentinel

[identity profile] beckyh2112.livejournal.com 2009-09-25 07:55 pm (UTC)(link)
Sentinel loathed Optimus for reasons that Jazz had never been terribly clear on. They used to know each other in their Academy days, but Sentinel never talked about his Academy days and Jazz knew snooping through the records would make Sentinel unhappy whenever he found out. So Sentinel loathed Optimus and Optimus seemed to be pained by Sentinel, but they worked really well together when they could manage to work together. They knew each other instinctively, and Sentinel seemed to trust Optimus when he wasn't thinking about it.

Of course, when Sentinel started to think about it, he got even worse than usual.

For the most part, though, Sentinel was at a level where he could be tolerated, despite Optimus's return from the dead. Jazz liked him like that, because it made it easier to consider Sentinel his friend rather than his burden.

Then Ultra Magnus was attacked and Sentinel took over. Tolerable went out the window, and Jazz did something he'd never done before.

He abandoned a friend.

After that, everything got pretty weird, but it all worked out in the end. Sentinel got taken down some notches, the Decepticons got defeated, and Optimus stepped up to be the new Magnus.

Sentinel despised it, and he'd tell Jazz how much he despised it given half a chance. Jazz simply told him to shut up and accept that Optimus was now their leader, and a much better one than him.

The funny thing was, Sentinel actually did shut up about it.
