Ask Me To Write You Stuff!

It is time to balance my meme karma, since I've been abusing both [livejournal.com profile] suzukiblu and [livejournal.com profile] banditjoeykuba's awesomeness lately.

So I will be writing anything Avatar, Transformers: Deadzone, or Transformers: Animated in the comments. Including any AU I've babbled at you about. Or any AU you can think of. Or anything involving my OCs. (I will only write other people's OCs with their permission, so you'll have to get their permission first and have them communicate it to me.)

Restrictions:
- Three requests per person, unless I tell you you can ask for more
- If you ask for "So-and-so is awesome", I am putting my iPod on shuffle and writing to whatever song comes up first

Meme is closed.

"Good morning, Lady Mariko," an old familiar voice said softly.

The lady, dressed in simple red cottons, looked up from her roses. There, sitting on the wall of her garden, was a man. His hair was loose and unkempt, and a double-blade scar marked his right eye. But she recognized those burning yellow eyes, and she could imagine the shape of his face if his hair were pulled back in a topknot.

"Good morning, Admiral Jeong Jeong," she said, straightening with her clippers in hand. "I suppose the new Firelord pardoned you."

He shrugged, the ratty traveler's clothes he wore shifting. "He did." He paused and studied her. "You seem well," he said finally, the words seeming to come with difficulty. "A good marriage."

"Indeed," she replied. His hair had turned ash-grey, while hers was a steel fading to silver. "He does well by me, and I do well by him. The children are happy, which is better than can be said of some."

He nodded and looked momentarily so miserable that it sparked anger in her.

"You could have asked," she said, hands on her hips. "You could have asked before you sailed or anytime after. We saw each other often enough on campaigns."

He turned his head away. "I thought... you didn't deserve what I was back then."

"No regrets, Jeong Jeong," she said severely. "We chose what we would do with ourselves of our own wills."

He said nothing for a long time, and Mariko turned her attention back to her roses. They were a deep red and full of scent, lovely things, and she was encouraging them to grow ever more dark. There was a color of red she had not seen since the Earth Kingdom that she missed very much.

"So we did," Jeong Jeong said at last and sighed.

"Come down from there," she instructed. "I'll have the servants make us tea."
