This is crazy!Zuko. He is my current super-favorite incarnation of Zuko. He seriously, seriously has his sex and love wires crossed.

I want to write more of him! SO! I am taking requests. Unlimited requests, I only guarantee one response per person. (And I guarantee NO MORE than one if you don't comment back to the one I do write you first.)

Requests I WILL NOT answer:
- the Azula and Zuko double-team 'cause I'm saving that for Spyri
- why Zuko is crazy
- Bumi/Zuko 'cause I just can't handle Bumi like that

"Do you love me, Uncle?"

Zuko's question made Iroh pause in the doorway. He looked at his nephew huddled in the red blankets of the shipboard bed, left eye bandaged. Zuko looked pale and wan amid all the red, exhausted even more than his injury should have made him.

"Of course I love you," Iroh said gently. "That's why I'm coming with you to help you in your search."

His nephew held out his arms as if inviting a hug, and Iroh crossed the cabin to sit on the bed and pull Zuko close.

"It will be all right," he said, rubbing Zuko's back softly.

His nephew nestled close and some of the stiffness seemed to fade from his muscles. "Father doesn't love me," he said, so softly Iroh thought he might have imagined it.

Given what Ozai had done to his son, Iroh didn't think he could disagree with Zuko. In fact, his nephew being aware of that suddenly made so many things much easier.

"Mother doesn't love me, either."

Iroh stiffened. He felt he should argue with that, though he had never been close enough to Ursa to say. "Now, Zuko, you know-"

"She left," Zuko hissed with sudden venom, and the lanterns in the room flared brighter. "If she'd loved me or Azula or anyone, she wouldn't have left!"

Iroh merely rubbed his nephew's back. He did not know the reasons for Ursa's flight, did not want to know because the evidence all pointed to her murdering his father.

Zuko subsided after some time, then tilted his head up to look at Iroh. He tried to smile, and it broke Iroh's heart to look at that expression on his nephew's face.

"But you love me," Zuko murmured, then leaned in and pressed a kiss against Iroh's mouth. "Don't you, Uncle?"

... I would say the poor broken boy did that on purpose, and love you for the fact you took this seriously.

I loved the imagery of Zuko lost and tried in blankets. He seems so hurt and helpless.

And then he kisses Iroh.

Oh. Oh Zuko. I think you just broke my heart with your manipulative ways. DDD:

You are not going to hell, I am going to hell. She's making me write a double team on Ozai.

AND I AM LOOKING FORWARD TO READING THAT DOUBLE-TEAM. :DDD
