This is crazy!Zuko. He is my current super-favorite incarnation of Zuko. He seriously, seriously has his sex and love wires crossed.

I want to write more of him! SO! I am taking requests. Unlimited requests, I only guarantee one response per person. (And I guarantee NO MORE than one if you don't comment back to the one I do write you first.)

Requests I WILL NOT answer:
- the Azula and Zuko double-team 'cause I'm saving that for Spyri
- why Zuko is crazy
- Bumi/Zuko 'cause I just can't handle Bumi like that

Crazuko/Lanh

"This is Mi-Sun," Lanh said, holding out a portrait for Zuko to look at. It was an old piece of Liu's, and Hyo-sir would be angry if he discovered Lanh had lifted it from his home. Which was why Lanh planned to return it as soon as he was done explaining this to Zuko. "She was Hyo-sir's wife. She died several years ago, but he loves her more than he loves anyone."

Zuko took the portrait carefully and studied it, his smile fading but not disappearing. Then he nodded and handed it back to Lanh. "I wish..."

Lanh looked at the other boy sharply. He'd never heard that soft, wistful tone from Zuko before, not even when Zuko was making sad sounds about Alak. "You wish what?"

"I wish someone loved me like that."

Lanh shrugged. "Someone probably does." Not him, and he wouldn't say he did because Long Feng had taken one look at the firebender and promptly ordered everyone to avoid lying to him.

Zuko nodded, his gold eyes darting towards the picture again. "And he only loves her?"

"He doesn't only love her," Lanh said gently, wrapping an arm around Zuko's shoulders and letting the firebender press against his side. "He just loves her the most. Mi-Cha, his daughter, and Long Feng are probably the only people alive who come anywhere close, and he isn't allowed to love Long Feng."

Zuko stiffened. "Why not?"

Lanh blinked and pulled at the stone around them to wake it up in case he needed it. "It's just... not done. Men don't love other men in the Earth Kingdom."

"You do."

"I don't have a reputation to worry about," Lanh said dismissively. "Never have, never will."

"Hnh." Zuko rubbed his cheek against Lanh's shoulder, smile bright and shiny-false as pyrite. "People should be able to love who they love."

"Maybe in their next life they'll be Fire Nation."

"In this life," Zuko said insistently.

Yeah, that would go over well. Ignoring that Hyo-sir probably could if he was actually interested, Long Feng wasn't interested in anyone or anything like that. Still, he didn't think he could actually explain any of that to Zuko. The firebender was entirely too 'want, take, have' and he wanted pretty indiscriminately.

"They express their love through their love of Ba Sing Se," Lanh said carefully, knowing it was true and probably a little more complicated than Zuko was used to dealing with.

The firebender looked puzzled for a long moment. "... Kinky?"

Lanh toyed with the idea of agreeing with that versus the work of explaining what was between Hyo-sir and Long Feng in a way Zuko could actually understand. "Hyo-sir and Long Feng share a love that goes beyond sex, a common bond that they express through their love for the city. Why else do they work so well together?"

Zuko stared at him.

"It was the 'love beyond sex' part, wasn't it?" Lanh asked, already knowing the answer. "Right. It's like love for a child. You don't have sex with children, right?"

As soon as the words were out of his mouth, he realized he had no idea what Zuko thought about children. Fuck, fuck, fuck-

"Of course not!" Zuko snapped, heat waves shimmering up from his shoulders.

Oh good. Not totally, completely, scary-crazy. Lanh smiled and rubbed the small of Zuko's back. "So. Something like that. Caring for someone without having sex with them."

"... But they're both adults."

He should have just agreed it was kinky and moved on.

Poor Lanh, having to explain concepts to Zuko that he doesn't understand. *strokes him* I like several of the details here -- Hyo killing Lanh if he knew Lanh had Mi-Sun's portrait, Long Feng having told the Dai Li not to lie to Zuko, Zuko's reaction to Lanh making sure that he didn't have sex with children... It's very well done.
