Tomorrow's my birthday.

Today, my parents had to take my Sheba cat to the vet, because she finally reached the tipping point last night. She'd had four seizures in the past twelve hours.

They brought her home just now. Mom's going to bury her in the corner of the yard.

I can't find my tears. Why can't I find them?

ETA: Now I'm crying.

We buried her in the other corner from her brother. I started crying when my dad laid her little towel-wrapped body in the grave.

I feel so sorry for you. I'm 'owned' by a 15 years old cat lady, I love her and can really imagine your pain now. Hope you will find another feline even if this one can't be really replaced in you heart.

I wish you a happy birthday anyway, even if it's hard to feel joy now.

I'll be praying for you and your kitty friend. I know how hard it is to lose a pet, but she'll always keep bringing you joy through memories, I promise.

I still get teary eyed when I remember my own dog who had to be put down. My heart goes out to you... Maybe you can plant a perennial over her grave so some part of her will still be with you?

I'm sorry that that had to happen. It's probably little comfort right now that that was the more merciful alternative. It sure wasn't when they had to put my pet down - a parrot that I'd tamed myself - due to old age and bad health.
