AtLA: Haru/Katara, the rain goes on
Haru stood on the porch of the little wooden house he had built with his own hands. His hands, an axe, a plane, hammer and nails. No 'bending at all, not even to test the ground for sturdiness.
Not that he really needed to 'test' the ground anymore. Walking over it in bare feet was enough for him.
Dirt, freshly churned by his building, turned to mud under the falling rain.
"That's what happens when water and earth mix," Katara said, coming up behind him. "Or so the ladies all said in Ba Sing Se."
She linked her arm in his, resting her cheek against his shoulder. He still sometimes marveled at how short and slender she seemed, compared to how they had been as teenagers. But while they'd both grown, she'd gotten her father's height... And he'd gotten his.
"I think of it differently," she said, hip pressing against his thigh. "To me, the mix of water and earth is a beach. But," she added, tipping her grinning face up to his, "I'm not a catty, spoiled noblewoman who resents seeing a powerful earthbender fall for a barbarian."
Re: AtLA: Haru/Katara, the rain goes on
*purrs* I very much like this. How Haru built his and Katara's house, Katara's comments on what happens when water and earth mix... the catty, spoiled noblewomen should learn about clay sometime. <3333
Thank you for this.

SG-1: Sam/Jack, street-hockey and a skinned knee
But the moment passed, and she found her balance. "You all right, sir?"
"I'm fine, Carter." Jack grinned at her as he levered himself up with his hockey-stick.
"Maybe you shouldn't have dived quite that much to block my shot," she said, smiling a bit. "I think that was your last pair of good jeans."
"Hey now!" Jack glanced down at his torn jeans and the scraped skin showing through in the hole. "I've got that other one, you know, that's all weird and faded-"
"The acid-washed pair I got you for Christmas?" Sam asked. "The one that got destroyed the last time Thor dropped by, and you promised you were just going to see his new ship and were gone for three days? That pair?"
".... You'll buy me more," Jack said, looking shifty. "I'm pretty sure your birthday is coming up."
"As much as I appreciate it that you remember my birthday," and she did, it made her heart flutter wildly in her chest, like she was sixteen and in love all over again, "you're supposed to buy me gifts for my birthday, not me buying you gifts."
"We could have a party," Jack said. "I seem to remember the birthday party in that book you really like involved him giving gifts to his guests."
"Jack O'Neill, do I look like a hobbit to you?"

Secret 'cest pairing go! Sokka/Katara. Furs.
AtLA: Sokka/Katara, furs
The Water Tribesman curses a blue streak. He's Zuko's age, the banished prince notes. Scruffy seal-brown hair pulled in their tufty ponytails, a scruffy beard on his face to match.
His pants are down, and he's yanking a blue-green scarf down from where it was over his eyes. Kinkier than he would have expected from the Water Tribe.
His wife is a few years younger, locks of her seal-brown hair falling out of her bun and the two odd loops. Her coat hangs open, but it's falling just enough to hide her and her husband's modesty. Not that Zuko can't tell what they were doing, but he supposes it's the principle of the thing.
There is something about their faces that nags at him.
"What the hell do you want?" The woman snarls, the air seeming to turn to frost with her words.
Zuko remains in the doorway of their little cabin by the sea. "Rumor says you two are the last Southern Water Tribe still around. I'm here to talk to you about the Avatar."

Re: AtLA: Sokka/Katara, furs
Is it just for the tribe (he wears the blindfold so he can't see her) or are they together? (the blindfold is for fun)
Re: AtLA: Sokka/Katara, furs
Okay, recovering coherency. Kind of.
Clearly, the "furs" prompt was not at all necessary, because woman, that was HOT. Getting caught by Zuko? Mmm, nice twist. Heh, and as usual, you have me curious about the before and the after and the particular flavor of this ... AU?
Anyway. I love love LOVED it. Muy sexy, and my day is made 200% better. <3

Codex Alera: Lord Placida/Lady Placida, "Well, that was impressive."
She smiled, fire fluttering its wings inside her chest. "I think I could do better."
Re: Codex Alera: Lord Placida/Lady Placida, "Well, that was impressive."
Anyway, I love this! It's short but sweet, and thoroughly obvious what has just happened and is probably about to happen again, with a strong emotional undertone. Very nice. <333333 Thank you so much!

If not, Azula/Zuko, brother knows best.
AtLA: Azula/Zuko, brother knows best
Azula's lip curls as she strides up the ramp onto Zuko's ship. It's old, probably still running on firebender-power rather than burning coal. The sailors are either old and near-retirement or too young to have any decent experience. It didn't even have the added class of Uncle's presence anymore - Father had called him home two years ago.
Yet Zuzu still thinks he could find the Avatar.
A flash of blue catches her eye, and Azula frowns as she spots a Water Tribesman lounging against the railing of the ship. He chews a length of sea-grass, and-
Zuzu stands next to him, scalp shaved save for the topknot he wore. He has a map in hand, and he and the Water Tribesman seem to be actually talking about it.
Azula's eyes narrow.
"Princess Azula," Lieutenant Jee rumbles from off to her side, and she tears her eyes away from Zuzu to glance at the lieutenant. There is a Water Tribeswoman at his side. Her hips are full, her features exotically beautiful, her blue dress tight over soft breasts.
"Princess Azula," the Water Tribeswoman echoes, saying the name as if she's tasting it.
"Who is she?" Azula demands of the lieutenant. "Why are there Water Tribe on this ship?"
The lieutenant's mouth hardens. "You would have to ask the prince, princess. He brought them on board."
This is about the Avatar, she realizes. It is just about the Avatar. Zuzu stupidly thinks he has found another way to find the dead man, and the Water Tribesfolk are taking him for all he's worth. That's all.
The mental image of Zuzu fucking the Water Tribe slut won't leave her be, and she snarls blue fire as she stalks towards her brother.

Oh Azula. No need to be jealous. Katara is already fucking her own brother, she doesn't need yours. (Not that we wouldn't mind some sort of incest-orgy, precious...)
It's interesting to see how the story changes when the main characters are aged up just a few years. I'm really liking this. And also Jee's cameo. Hi, Jee!

I like this AU. A lot.

AtLA: Yue/Hahn, royal prerogative
When Arnook's lost daughter leaves the North, Hahn goes with her. He doesn't think about it (soulful blue eyes and moon-white hair, full lips and soft skin), doesn't think about where she's going ("my own father won't make them teach me how to waterbend, but Ozai did teach me to fight").
She's the princess, he's going with her. It's that simple.
Even when she puts on the maroon robes in preparation for audience with the Firelord, even when she presses the gold flame of a Fire Nation princess into her hair, it's that simple.

AtLA: Song/Zuko, fire flakes
Song quietly shuts the door in his face.
She goes out the back, and he stubbornly follows her around the outside of the house. She runs, and he catches her in the woods, and she steals a kiss as hot as fire flakes.
He steals a kiss like an autumn breeze.

AtLA: Aang/Ty Lee, a price for magic
But it's just a mask, and Ty Lee can see beneath it. He hasn't been the same since Katara left, and that's not a good thing for an Avatar.
For the first time in years, when she picks out her paint in the evening, she doesn't put on the Kyoshi warpaint. Instead she paints her lips oxblood red and lines her eyes with kohl. She shimmers gold over her eyelids and across her breasts.
She does her hair in a loose braid, draws on the sweet little green dress she'd been saving for Haru.
She looks herself in the mirror, licks her lips. If this doesn't work...
Well, she knows how to block chi, and there are no protections between lovers in bed.

TF Ani: Elita-1/Sentinel Prime, misunderstandings
She rounded on him, optics flashing. "I do not know that, Sentinel! Besides, you shouldn't have said that in the first place - how else was I supposed to take it?"
Sentinel spread his hands helplessly. "If I say something with two meanings, and one is going to hurt you, I meant the other one."

Transformers: Optimus/Blackarachnia, "I think there's been a mistake."
"So, boss-bot, something you aren't telling us?" Bumblebee asked, trying to sound sly and just succeeding in sounding sleazy.
"I think there's been some sort of mistake," Optimus muttered. He'd wished for a chance to redeem Blackarachnia, not- Um.
"Oh, there definitely has," the Transformer-woman hissed.
Re: Transformers: Optimus/Blackarachnia, "I think there's been a mistake."
I like Bumblebee's failed attempt at slyness and Optimus' "ummm...."
