Quick Meme: Slavefic
I have a kink. I have a number of kinks, really, but they're not being pandered to in this meme.
AtLA-only. Give me two or more characters, at least two of whom must be from different nations, and a prompt. You don't get to say who is slave to whom.
If you feel like pandering to the writer, I'm really jonesing on the Water Tribe right now.
Two requests to random passerby, three requests to the usual suspects. If you don't think you're one of the usual suspects, then you're probably not. If you're
floranna, you are by dint of being adorable and replying so often. <3
I promise to write at least one of your requests if you provide two. If you only provide one, and it bores me, I'm just going to skip it. This is about me pandering to my kink, after all.

Younger Pakku/Bumi, bejeweled.
Zhao/Long Feng, strained and chained.
younger Pakku/Bumi, bejeweled
Bumi scraped teeth over Pakku's neck, grinning at the sharp inhalation of breath.
Sweat sheened the youth's skin, blue eyes screwed shut, jaw gritted tight. Rage tensed his muscles and flushed his skin darker.
The king of Omashu just grinned and pushed the emerald length deeper into Pakku. He liked this lovely, dangerous youth, and he liked even more to bring Pakku up and through the heights of pleasure, again and again, until rage and pride broke and the youth begged to be fucked raw.

Bonus: Hakoda/Ozai, amber lock and key
"Give me that, so I can get this thing off," Ozai demands, hand held out imperiously. The amber lock around his throat reflects the fire in the braziers, drawing Hakoda's eye and he will not give up the key.
"No," he says simply, closing his hand around the amber trinket.
Ozai lays into him then, demanding and cajoling and never-quite-threatening. His voice growls and purrs by turns, wanting the key in Hakoda's hand beyond measure.
An amber key for an amber lock.
No, that wasn't quite the way it went.
"Be quiet," Hakoda says at last. His eyes close as he tries to think - how had the Earth man described the key and the lock before?
Mercifully, Ozai falls completely silent.
He can't remember it, and Hakoda shakes his head. It'll come to him later. For now, though, they need to get back to something like civilization, and barring that, at least somewhere safe for the night.
"Come on," he says, and Ozai follows him quietly.

Bonus: Zuko and Ozai/Hakoda
It's been three years, Zuko tells himself. Of course things have changed at the court. Of course things are different. That doesn't mean there's anything wrong.
Father is so pleased with him, with the lie of him, that it hurts.
Too, Father is shadowed by the Water Tribesman. He wears blue cut Fire-style, blue beads in his hair, and a silver crescent-and-ocean in mockery of a crown. His eyes are blue and hateful, and Zuko doesn't understand how Father can let him anywhere near.
Until he catches Father coughing in one of the private halls, hard and wet and-
There is blood on Father's hands when he raises his face, and his smile is queer and strange. "The Comet's coming."
Suddenly Father's lack of care with the Water Tribesman, with him and Azula, is obvious and understandable. Zuko finds himself yearning for Mother and to be the distaff princely failure. Then he would not have to face-
"Azula doesn't know, does she?" He says quietly, his voice half-strangled.
"No." Then Father sweeps past him, and the Water Tribesman follows in his shadow.
Things have not been right for a long time, Zuko realizes with a heavy heart. Some part of him had thought he could go to the Avatar, wistfully, or beg Uncle for forgiveness and guidance.
But he can't let the Fire Nation fall into Azula's hands.
Re: Bonus: Zuko and Ozai/Hakoda
Hakoda/Ozai, kneel
Hakoda snarls even as his knees hit the floor. He loathes the man on the other side of the fire, but he's learned better than to give Ozai any excuse to come down from his throne. The Firelord takes too much delight in never leaving wounds deep enough to scar.
Flames crackle, their light and shadow obscuring the Firelord's face. Hakoda can't be sure he sees a smile in that cruel mouth.
He hopes he doesn't.
There are worse things than the Firelord's anger.
"Crawl."
Hakoda almost balks. His hands clench into fists, nails biting into his palms. He won't-
The flames flicker low, and he gets a sick feeling in his stomach as he remembers Ozai's threat last time. 'Your earthbender friend was hard-worn on the prison barge. The Capital Prison is much kinder. But there are other prisons in the Fire Nation.'
He crawls, and the flames rise.
He stops just before the flames, as close to the Firelord's throne as it's possible to get without crossing the fire. He cranes his neck, refusing to bow his head. He will meet the Firelord's eyes.
Ozai smiles.
There are much worse things than the Firelord's anger.
"Come here."
Re: Hakoda/Ozai, kneel
Bonus: Azula/Long Feng
Her slave didn't look up from reading her letters. "Your father has selected a number of candidates for you, daimyos' second-sons and officers' first-sons. He expects you to present yourself at court with due diligence and determine which pleases you best. He reminds you this is far more than either he or your uncle received."
"I don't care! I don't want to marry!" She rolled to her feet, shrugging her robes back onto her shoulders. "Mai made him an heir with Zuko! I don't need a husband!"
Her slave set the letter down, smoothing it on the wooden desk. Everything was wood here in her Earth Kingdom estates, wood and bamboo. She'd favored metal when the building began, until her slave used his earthbending to put a metal ajoure piece through General Li's eye.
That was when Azula knew she loved him.
Blue flame flickered from her fingers, consuming the letter and scorching the desk. "Enough," she growled, shoving herself onto his lap. "I don't want a husband, Long Feng. I have you."

Kya and Haru - one day at a time
Pakku and Jin - blizzard
Pakku/Jin, blizzard
Pakku continued to draw the cold out of his tea and ignored her.
Chief Arnook had gifted the buxom maid to him, ostensibly because he had no family to take care of him in his old age. Pakku knew the chief well, though, and the man had a soft heart for girls his daughter's age. Jin might have been stolen away during a Water Tribe raid, but Arnook wouldn't let her be raped and humiliated.
He protected her by giving her to Pakku. The waterbender didn't object to this, despite the problems having a buxom young woman brought with it. He could send the boys of the tribe scattering with a glare, the men with harsh words.
There were, unfortunately, a few other problems with keeping Jin. Mostly Pakku avoided them by storming off to waterbend in peace when she got too irritating.
A blizzard had blown in the day before, and he'd spent most of the night clearing paths through the snow and ice. Almost every man of the tribe had, and now that the paths were hardened ice, they could rest in the warmth of their homes. It wasn't safe to go out yet, not while the blizzard still raged, and who would want to leave their families now?
"Master," Jin crooned then began to nibble on his ear, "Talk to me."
Re: Pakku/Jin, blizzard
Kya/Haru, one day at a time
So she smiled and asked for him as a special gift, and Hakoda gave her the pretty boy without a trace of reluctance.
That was years ago. The men have gone off to fight the Fire Nation now, leaving the women and children of the village with only Sokka and Haru. And Katara, her darling wonder.
It's not enough. Kya watches the horizon, trying not to listen to the whispers of how close battle will have brought Hakoda and Bato. She watches and prays, and in the night, she draws her beautiful Haru close.
Sokka looks at her with wounded eyes sometimes in the mornings, and it's days like that when she sends him and his sister off to fish. The Tribe always needs food.
Her eyes are on the horizon when a column of white power flares to life.
Re: Kya/Haru, one day at a time
Bonus: Ba Sing Se
They all wear the slave-braids. None of them will meet the eyes of someone who doesn't, and they all fall silent around free men. They watch.
Old Thanh works for the University. The rest belong to the Palace, mostly in secretarial positions. Slave secretaries are more convenient than free men, especially in critical positions. Ministers may come and go, but their secretaries are bound to the Palace. They can't leave the city, they have no hopes of promotion. A slave can always be trusted to know his job.
In theory, they can also be trusted to do their jobs.
General How has made a habit of delivering his reports directly into the hands of the ministers. He doesn't trust the slave named Long Feng, and he sees too many trusted secretary-slaves gathered around him.
The slave smiles when How walks by.

Bato/Xin Wan, he wished it were harder than it is
Bato/Xin Wan, he wished it were harder than it is
Bato diced ginger, humming some bit of melody from one of Xin Wan's music boxes. Joo Dee bustled in the kitchen with him, helping him prepare a meal for their friend. Vegetable-lamb, ginger, and scallions, one of Xin Wan's favorite dishes.
Today was one of the bad days. His friend had hardly left the bed, had lain there even when he was awake before curling up and trying to return to sleep.
Bato had tried to coax him out several times-
The curses in his head got lost on his tongue, leaving only the soft gentleness he'd have used with Hakoda.
Nothing had worked, and Bato had left him there and called for Joo Dee. She had green eyes today, and Xin Wan had brightened somewhat to see her.
He left them alone for some time, preferring to go shopping than to be in the house while they were together. He found a few knick-knacks that might amuse Sokka whenever the boy and Katara found their way to Ba Sing Se.
Surely they still traveled with the Avatar, and surely Aang could-
"Bato?" Xin Wan stood in the doorway of the kitchen, dressed and shaved. He looked tired and empty still, but the fact he was even up was a miracle.
Bato's knuckles were white on the knife. He stared at them before laying it down on the counter. Then he went over to his friend and enveloped Xin Wan in a hug. "It's good to see you up and about."

Katara/Ty Lee, To me, this makes a lot of sense right now
God, I love all of your memes so much. :D
Sokka/Zuko/Jet, not quite what I expected
Sokka wears an armband made of cowries the size a Fire Nation koban and ice that doesn't melt. He wears a neckguard made of loonwhale ivory, and there is a single brilliant blue bead in his hair. He wears a black sword across his back, too, which is new.
The Fire Nation man who walks a pace behind him wears silver bracelets and silver necklace. A massive burn-scar surrounds one eye, ugly and tempting as Katara's anger had been. He's new, too.
"Hey," Jet says, eyes drifting past Sokka to the Fire Nation man. "Where'd you get that?"
"Fire Nation, where else?" Sokka grins like he has since he was a boy, and Jet grins like he has since he was a boy, and the Fire Nation man looks between them as if he's expecting a fight to break out.
That's not new at all.

Yue and Zuko - expediency.
Yue/Zuko, expediency
"Sun was a woman," Hahn says, binding arrowheads to arrowshafts. The burn-scar across his throat is ugly, like the burn-scar on the Fire boy's face. They are both marks of battle, and her heart fills with pride to see both of them so.
"We're not the moon and the ocean, are we?" she asks sweetly before bending down to press a feather-light kiss on her Fire boy's forehead. "But the three of us together... If we can be enough like the sun, moon, and ocean, we can bring the Avatar back."
"Hnh." But Hahn doesn't disagree.
Her Fire boy won't either. She won't let him.

Hakoda and Zuko, missing home
Zuko is not there when his father rattles out his last breath. He comes home when it's already over, when everything is already over. Azula weeps and screams but no fire comes to her hands. The fleets are broken. Ba Sing Se freed.
In his father's chambers, the Water Tribesman sits holding a dead man's hand. Father's skin is burned in some places and his body wasted from the form Zuko remembers even three months ago. There is blood on the sheets and pillows.
There is no smell of medicines nor of disease.
There never had been.
"The Comet took him," the Water Tribesman says suddenly, icy eyes turning on Zuko. "And he said I should go to you."
Zuko swallows hard. He'd left. He'd abandoned his father and his nation both to Azula, gone to the Aang and his friends to help save the world. Father should have hated him for that. Not.... Not given his personal servant to him.
Father is too dead to care what happens to either of us, some part of him thinks but the rest of him knows better. Father giving him the Water Tribesman is important-
Father died alone with only a man who hates him to ease his dying.
Tears sting Zuko's eyes, and he backs out of the room without answering. He can't face this now.

Sokka/Suki- the fine tradition of bridal abduction
Katara/Mai, beads
She should be making that for her brother. Never mind the Fire Nation girl is here precisely so Katara doesn't have to do the women's work, so Katara can concentrate on her waterbending. Waterbending doesn't get compliments from Sokka; the men who stop to smile and admire her don't see her waterbending but the Fire Nation girl's beadwork.
Dad and Gran-Gran are the only people who appreciate her waterbending. Katara holds that thought in her heart when the long night comes, and she has to be around the Fire Nation girl all the time.
The Fire Nation girl is working on some secret project while Katara sews herself a new parka. The tiger-seal leather is soft and supple in her hands, dyed a proud sky-blue. Dad and Sokka spent the summer collecting the hides, and they have only just enough for all five of them, plus an extra for Bato.
Dad asked her to sew Bato's after she finishes with her own. For some reason, Gran-Gran had not liked that, but Katara is more than glad to sew for Bato. He's a good man, and she wants people to see she can be a woman still, even though she's a waterbender.
She is so intent on her sewing, she doesn't realize the Fire Nation girl has come to sit by her for several long minutes. She frowns at the girl who meets her frown with a neutral stare and warm eyes.
She lays a beautiful beadwork choker on Katara's knee. "For your pendant," she says softly, reaching up to touch her own throat.
Katara's mouth goes dry. The Fire Nation girl can't know what offering to change the necklace means. She can't-!
The Fire Nation girl's gaze turns to the fire, and her expression is as blank as newfallen snow. But somehow, Katara knows she does know.
Katara doesn't pick up the choker, but she doesn't toss it away either. She just turns her attention back to her sewing. The ermine lining won't add itself.
When she glances up again, there is a very small smile on the Fire Nation girl's face.

Pakku and Piandao - Stars.
Yue and Azula, don't call me princess
Yue's shoulders tensed, climbing up towards her ears. That little word felt like a knife twisting in her belly. Especially in that girl's voice. That smoky, sensuous voice that made her title an insult and 'your betrothed' a gloat.
Every time Hahn looked at the Fire Nation girl, his eyes sparked like sunlight flashing off a glacier. When he looked at Yue, he was... not precisely cold, not ever cold, but...
But he'd pushed her away the last time she tried to kiss him, told her they couldn't risk getting caught before they were married.
She knew he hadn't suddenly stopped being interested in sex.

Long Feng and Katara -- Healing is useful
Long Feng and Katara, healing is useful
"Minister," Long Feng corrected as he shut the door of his apartments. "Lord is inappropriate to use with someone not of the hereditary nobility."
"Lord," the slave-girl said firmly. She was a pretty thing, her skin dark as good soil and her eyes blue as the lake. She wore green bleeding towards dark turquoise, the gold symbol of the Dai Li worked into the patterns along the hems.
Long Feng smiled. "As you wish, Katara."
She crossed the antechamber and reached up to undo the frogs on his jacket. The heavy cloth slithered to the floor, and he stepped away from the girl. She tended to stand closer than he was comfortable with.
"Have you eaten, lord?"
"Not yet." He left his jacket lying on the floor as he strode deeper into his apartments, Katara following at his heels. There, waiting on a low table was a spread of cold cuts. He eased himself onto the couch next to it and picked up his chopsticks. No matter if he was too tired to pick up his own clothes, he was never too tired to eat with his fingers.
His hands shook, though, and the chopsticks clicked together softly.
Katara touched his wrist gently from where she was seated beside him. Blue eyes met and held his as she took away the chopsticks. She picked up a slice of vegetable-lamb so thinly-cut it was almost translucent and held it out to him.
"You push yourself too hard," she said as she selected a bite of cheese. "My waterbending only heals wounds, lord. It can't do anything about exhaustion and stress."
"I'm aware," he said quietly. "But until the Avatar departs, there will be no rest for any of us."
Her hand rested on his knee as she leaned closer to offer a bit of sticky rice. "I hope he finds his sky-bison soon. He must be so sad to be separated from it, just him and Miss Bei Fong all alone."
"They're not alone," he reminded her. "The young rebel has found them again, and they'll likely meet their war-child friend soon."
"That's good. I'm glad." She leaned across him to reach the pickled ginger, scooting closer so that her hands were practically in his lap when she sat up.
He wondered if Xin Wan had done that on purpose, or if it was just a side-effect. "So am I."

Haru and Zuko, clay hands
Certainly not by the docile-eyed Earth Kingdom boy. Not after Zuko had gotten so close to those Earth Kingdom soldiers who had captured Uncle, not after he'd seen what Earth Kingdom people were supposed to be.
Not quiet, not soft. Hard, dangerous, shaping the world around them.
He jerked away. "Enough! I have firebending-!"
"I'm not finished, Prince Zuko." Haru's hand settled on his shoulder and squeezed.
Black flickered at the corner of Zuko's sight, and bones ground together. For an instant, he wondered if his collar would break, and sparks flickered to life just beyond his lips.
Then Haru relaxed his grip and ran the comb through his hair once again.
Maybe he could make time for this.
