His mind kept returning to the memory of the arrow jutting out of Long Feng's shoulder. He knew how such things were treated - if the minister was lucky, the arrow would be pushed all the way through him. If he was less lucky, it would have to be cut out. Either was painful, but cutting out the arrowhead also had the slim possibility of crippling his arm. If it wasn't already crippled.

The minister couldn't be crippled. An earthbender needed his entire body.

It would be so much easier if Long Feng were, some dark part of him hummed, and his desktop stellated with cracks.
