Dear Yuletide Santa
First of all, thank you for whatever you write for me this year. Please have fun and try not to stress over this. Unless you're like me, where running around and going "aieeee!" is part of the fun. ;-)
I am generally into all sorts of stories: adventure, romance, drama, comedy. Since this is Yuletide, I definitely do not want a deathfic, and for the most part, I'm not particularly interested in angst. I'm also not interested in a fic that's solely smut; I'd rather have some plot going on alongside the sexy times. (I'm not really expecting smut to come up with any of my prompts, but I figured I'd throw that out there.)
1. Alien vs. Predator: Prey - Steve Perry and Stephani Perry: Machiko Noguchi, Dachande
I'd like an AU where Dachande survives, and Mariko stays on Ryushi with him until they can signal a Predator ship. The two of them building a life together (with or without rishathra), surviving with limited tech on the planet, keeping the human authorities from finding out about Dachande... That sort of thing.
I kind of love books like The Swiss Family Robinson, My Side of the Mountain, & The Island of Blue Dolphins, so people having to survive in the wilderness with minimal tech and not only succeeding but succeeding enough to live comfortably makes me very happy.
I really liked the dynamic between them, especially the way Dachande viewed Mariko as his finest student and Mariko was so affected by Dachande that she gave up her human life to become one of the yuatja.
I think rishathra is pretty awesome, but if you're not into writing that, I am perfectly okay with a platonic or familial relationship.
I'd prefer not to have to deal with too much of the other yuatja sneering at Mariko, as they seemed to do in the later books. In fact, if you don't want to involve any other yuatja at all, I am perfectly okay with that.
2. Transformers: Energon - Six Shot, Shockblast
We never get to see the brothers together in the series, so I'd love a fic of them being their psychotic selves together.
Preferably something that shows how psychotic they are, as well as the different ways their crazy manifests and their different preferences for how to kill people. Shockblast's prison-break in "Shockblast: Rampage" is a great example of the stuff I mean for him. Six Shot's tendency to use his FULLY OPERATIONAL BATTLESTATION to blast Optimus Prime, despite Megatron throwing him through walls, fits him. As does the passive-aggressive.
I like to think they are the only people who they can get along with long-term. Sure, they may quarrel, but they'll make it up (possibly with killing people. or cat-girl manga.) and get back to being the bestest pyscho brothers on Cybertron.
3. The Saga of the Skolian Empire - Catherine Asaro: Kelricson Garlin Valdoria Skolia, Kelricson Garlin Valdoria Skolia
I'd love a story where ruling the Aristos finally got to be too much, and the Skolians have to do a commando-assault to retrieve Jaibriol, all without igniting an interstellar war. Also, Tarquine. Also, also, Jaibriol is really not down with this whole thing even though he really needs some serious medical attention from Skolian Kyle-specialists.
I love the relationship between Jaibriol and Kelric, and between Jaibriol and Tarquine (and I'm kicking myself for not nominating her as a character). So I'd really like to see something where they get to interact without "no one must ever find out I am a Ruby" breathing down Jaibriol's neck.
On the flip side, there's got to be all kinds of secrecy in why these commandos (Jagernauts?) are ganking the Emperor of Eube. And Tarquine is going toslaughter your men, sow your fields with salt, drive your women and children before her cut a bitch if even one hair on Jaibriol's head is harmed.
Also, the Aristo manner of oblique speaking just tickles me.
4. The Chronicles of Riddick series - Richard B. Riddick, Carolyn Fry
I would love an AU where Fry survives. Full-stop.
Ideally, this story would focus mostly on Fry. Riddick is awesome, but I loved how much Pitch Black seemed to be Fry's story with Riddick as added bonus.
I do like Fry and Riddick's sexual tension, and would not be averse to seeing more of that.
