Nummy!

Watched PotC3 yesterday. It is so very, very awesome, and it makes me utterly happy with how it ended. And I refuse to listen to the idea that Will's curse was broken in the easter egg at the end of the movie. Ferryman of the dead is an unpleasant job, not a curse. Yeah, the sea/shore rotation is sucky. This is what happens when you enter into the realm of myth.

I start a new job tomorrow. Part-time retail at Michaels, one of those chain craft stores. Should be interesting, especially with my love of neat things.

Also, the replies I recieved on this rant just kinda make me want to write Drizzt fanfic. With Obould Many-Arrows, because Obould Many-Arrows roxxors your boxxors.

I lose patience with people when their response to 'different strokes for different folks' is to bash the author/character. Yeah, I kind of caught it already that you don't particularly like him.

*resists urge to go off on tirade about Drizzt, as she doesn't think anyone wants to hear it*

Apparently, they DID shoot a scene explaining how the "curse" could be broken, but I kinda suspect it was removed to give them a sequel out, in case Orlando Bloom is willing to do the fourth movie. I hope not, though... Will freed or not, I think their story had a really good conclusion, and it would kinda cheapen things to have a "Let's save Will" plot in a fourth movie. Besides, I like the fact that he's willing to endure the ten years for the one day. Besides, it beat the no days he was going to have, otherwise.

But yeah, if we get a Pirates 4, I just hope they let Jack and Barbossa drag new characters into their adventures. (*is still just insanely amused that he mentioned the Fountain of Youth watching DMC the other day, and that's what they suggested at the end of the movie*)

The egg at the end of the movie TECHNICALLY didn't say that the curse was broken, anyway. And look, if they can use buckets to get Jones onto dry land, Elizabeth can come hang out on his ship for a few hours every once in a while.

...although my brain wonders if all that leg-nibbling was him applying the Black Spot so he could find her again.

If you're going to insult Drizzt, I want to hear it. ;)

Sorry, no. I like Drizzt.

Then I don't want to hear it! :P

Dude. I didn't get that from the end at all. The kid was about the right age, after all.

The curse being broken is apparently something the writers mentioned on their forums. So it's not exactly canon, per se, but a lot of people are pleased about it because it makes for a happier ending.

Ahh. And, see, I can go either way. The movie was just awesome.

It was very awesome. I adore what they did to Will, and that they had the balls to do that in the first place.

*goes and reads the rant*

Bwuh? They bash Salvatore, then half of them talk up characters from books that are utter dreck! Sheesh, Salvatore ain't Shakespeare, but he's a better writer than the hacks that wrote the Avatar trilogy, and he is Shakespeare next to Ed "Badfic writer" Greenwood!!

Gah!!!
