So I started reading this amazingly OOC Elita porn fic this morning. Sadly, it held my attention through the loving detail on how she had been tortured and broken. Well, 'held my attention' in so far as I didn't outright close it, though I did wander off from it quite a lot.

Then someone uttered a question in dialogue without using a question mark, and I went "gah!" and closed it.

I am such a grammar-geek.

I can't help thinking that when you get down to that level of detailed humiliation, it starts to get a little misogynistic. The woman is completely helpless and humiliated, but she's also unable to put up any resistance even in words or in her own mind. All she does is sob and surrender, when she's supposed to be a rather strong woman.

I find it rather disgusting, personally.
