Signups for Round Three of story_lottery. Story_Lottery is writing challenge where you get assigned seven prompts (the lottery portion), and you then have to write seven stories to "win". Six of the stories have to be longer than a thousand words, and the seventh just has to be longer than a hundred words.

There's two different variations on the lottery draw. One is a straight lottery draw, and you get the numbers and prompts the admin picks. The other, you get to pick the numbers but you have no idea what the prompts are for those numbers until the end of the sign-up period.

I participated in round two last time and wrote three Avatar fics, one Avatar/Dr. Who crossover, one Dresden Files fic, one B-movie fic, and an original piece. I'll be participating again in round three.

avatarbigbang will be opening for author sign-ups on February 15th. A fandom Big Bang is a challenge to write a piece of fanfiction over x amount of tens of thousands of words. The Avatar one has a minimum word-count of 10,000 and it will be running from February 15th to August 15th.

(Yes, I have the crazy and will be participating. It's how you guys will likely get "Blind Side".)

helptheproject is a fandom auction to support the Virginia Avenue Project, a non-profit organization that mentors Los Angeles students and teenagers, "teaching classes in theatre and other arts, tutoring them in academics, and partnering with them to create and perform original plays."

100% of the children mentored graduate from high school, 95% go on to college, and 98% are the first person in their family to go.

Due to cuts to the budget for grants for arts and education, the Virginia Avenue Project is in danger of losing their centerpiece program unless they can raise $15,000 by mid-March.

I am offering two auctions:
- one piece of fanfiction, minimum of a thousand words, with any pairing of any rating as long as it's in one of the appropriate fandoms. Offering for: Avatar, DragonballZ, the first two seasons of Sailor Moon, The Matrix, the manga Ooku up to current US release.

- Box of New Orleans care package. I send you a box of shiny things from New Orleans. No food if you're international, but there's plenty of cool not-food stuff here. Minimums are one piece of Saints swag, one piece of Mardi Gras swag, a book from a local author, and some food. The higher the bidding goes, the more I'll embellish the box with cool stuff.
