Aug. 4th, 2011 08:12 am14. Ratings – how high are you comfortable with going? Have you ever written higher? If you're comfortable with NC-17, have you ever been shocked by finding that the story you're writing is G-rated instead?
As high or as low as a story needs to go. I tend to have a harder time with NC-17 because I need to be in the right sort of mood to enjoy writing smut. Most of my stories tend to average out around PG/PG-13, because I like writing violence, adult situations, and cussing.
