Long Feng.

- He can lie with his earthbending. His body language and his 'bending stances don't always match what he does. This is exhausting, however, and rarely worth the effort.

- Long Feng seems to have a block about noticing it when people are flirting with him. The minorest of flirtation games between guardsmen and ladies are like open-books to him, but about the only time he notices someone flirting with him is when they're Fire Nation. And that's because Firefolk rarely bother with subtlety.

- He has never been outside of Ba Sing Se in his entire life, until he has to travel to the Fire Nation in "Politics by Other Means".

- Kuei doesn't remember his father very well. All his attempts to imagine his father look like Long Feng.

- He and Jun totally have hot sex during his wandering-days. Hot, bed-breaking sex. Usually at her instigation because he hasn't quite figured out how to instigate sex with someone without telling a servant to send for the concubine list.

- He's a trifle resentful at being dumped into the deep end to sink or swim as Earth King by the Avatar, but mostly he tries not to think about it.

- Nappa's wife suffered some brain-damage as a teenager. It had no effects on her intelligence (though people point at her marrying Nappa and disagree with that assessment) but crippled her ability to use ki.

- After Nappa's eldest daughter deliberately set out to get Nappa's favorite son executed as a traitor, Nappa broke her spine. Latta lived, barely, but she has a dragging limp to the end of her days. She gets shuffled off to the diplomatic corps, due to this.

- Turles is Goku's cousin.

Azulon

- He is a womanizer. There are assorted gold-eyed bastards scattered in the Earth Kingdom, a few in the Fire Nation, and he's well-known for his appetites, especially for exotic women.

- Ilah died shortly after Ozai was born. Azulon has nursed a dislike for his second son ever since.

- 'Azulon the Destroyer' is what the Southern Water Tribes call him. 'Azulon Dragon-Slayer' in the Fire Nation.

- Her mother's family are spice merchants based in the eponymous bay of Three Volcanoes Bay Island.

- Ursa generates blue fire naturally. Unlike many firebenders who must acquire the skill and power to use blue fire (and then subsequently come to the conclusion that the greater heat isn't worth the greater energy expenditure).

- As much as she loves Ozai, what he did to her children is almost unforgivable.

- Haru likes the ladies. He is not entirely averse to guys pursuing him, but that's the only way he'll get involved in a homosexual relationship. Also, they'd better be people he damn well likes already before they start trying something.

- After the War, Haru winds up negotiating a deal between Teo and a Fire Nation daimyo to finance Teo repairing and flying an airship as a merchant "ship" between the Fire Nation and Ba Sing Se.

- Haru is very tired of people yanking on his hair.

- Yue's best friend is a girl named Chulyin, who has no father and no brothers and has been taught to hunt like a man "so she can teach her sons properly because what if something happens to her future-husband".

- As the Moon Spirit, Yue feels significantly guilty over how she treated Hahn in the last few days of their lives so she resurrects him and sets him in the Earth Kingdom.

- Yue the Moon Spirit is rather different from both Tui the Moon Spirit and Yue the girl.

Master Piandao

- Among his other talents, Piandao is a rather good artist. Most people just don't notice because they're too busy oooohing and ahhhhing over his sword skill and his smithing abilities.

- He's a terrible poet, though.

- It took Jeong Jeong having issues with the Fire Nation for Piandao to take a long, hard look at things. Likely if Jeong Jeong hadn't or he hadn't been as close to Jeong Jeong, he'd still be merrily loyal to the Fire Nation.

- Xin Wan is the person who maimed Seneschal Kajizu's hand.

- Ever since the Dai Li discovered just how good Xin Wan is at mindbending (he literally only needs a dark room and a candle and a victim who can hear him), he's been virtually imprisoned in the Upper Ring. He's too useful to kill, but too dangerous to let wander.

That happened when he was twenty-three. He's in his fifties when the series starts.

- The only way the Dai Li will let him go is if Bae can get some mindbent blocks into Xin Wan's head to make him forget all he knows about mindbending. And if no one tells Long Feng they're doing this until Xin Wan is long gone.

- When Zuko grows a beard, he looks like the spitting image of his father. He's generally discouraged from growing beards.

- Zuko does not care to admit it for a variety of reasons, but he's had crushes on Ty Lee, Katara, and Haru in the past.

- Ozai was the one who finally taught Zuko to make a decent cup of tea.

- Azulon had Ozai trained as a Fire Sage, so his second son could serve a useful purpose when Iroh ascended to the Bronze Throne.

- Ozai taught himself to sense lightning-strikes, sort of an accidental side-effect of his efforts to teach himself to lightning-bend.

- Ozai is the little red corvette/sexy young woman of Hakoda's mid-life crisis.

- Toph becomes the Queen of Omashu after Bumi passes on.

- Lao Bei Fong is a gembender. He's a good one, but with the way gembending works, he's very weak in more traditional forms of earthbending.

- Toph has had crushes on all the members of the Gaang, but her crush on Katara lasted the longest.
