This is the dead land

There is a mental image in my head, of Void having commanded Jetstorm to kamikaze and take the Earth with him. For they were alone against the multitude, and Void is nothing if not a spiteful bastard.

Jetstorm stands in a wasteland, massive stormclouds gathered overhead and wind whipping through the area. He is battered, torn, leaking. But there are cracks in the Earth, crevices full of lightning, as he disables safety interlocks and runs himself to destruction.

There is radio chatter, people trying to find out why the destruction is still coming though they have Void's ashes in hand.

And it's Motormaster who finds him, Motormaster who reports what he's doing, Motormaster who can tear out his laser-core and maybe only the continent will vanish in a blast of heat and light.

How to face this? When Jetstorm merely smiles wanly and says he will not fight, but he will not stop either. The only way to stop him is to kill him, and killing him will probably kill Motormaster.

Minutes seem like hours and the radio-chatter becomes more frantic. Starscream shrieks that he doesn't know how to stop this, Galvatron demands that someone do so, Auspex weeps quietly, and everything is going to hell.

Jetstorm will not be moved, and the unnatural lightning will let no one else get close.

Might as well go out with a bang, yes? He pulls the dark jet into a kiss...

And Jetstorm whimpers.
